question about king springs

hi everyone.

i just bought 2" raised king springs in heavy duty for my lwb gq.

i took out the old spring ( supposedly standard- it sat low) and put it next to the new one, and they are the same length. but the actual coils are thicker ( cause they are heavy duty i guess )

just wondering if anyone else has found this out before with kings or any other brand, and if when they were installed that they ended up sitting 2 " higher like they should.

they will be the same height but a different rate (hence the thickness)

once the vehicles weight goes on the spring should sit 2" higher.

at only a 2" lift you really dont need the springs to be any longer ebcause you havent changed your travel significantly.

Its pretty common for commercial 2" lift springs.

It also means that they don't need to get into any complications from running long shocks.
