Stupid dual battery earth question...

I've just installed a dual battery system with the aux battery in my tray. Do I need to earth my aux battery to the chassis at the rear or can I just let it earth thru the neg cable running back to the main battery?
90 Turbo Diesel Hilux. F&R air lockers, 4" lift, 30 spline longs, 33"MTZ...

just earth it to chasis or what i did with mine is i earthed it to motor! ;) but mine was in engine bay!

YOUR BEST BET WOULD BE TO EARTH IT OFF THE CHASSIS AND RUN A SECOND EARTH FROM THE CHASSIS TO THE BODY OF THE CAR

To the chassis, and then make sure all your other chassis earths are good ie chassis to motor and battery.
