1UZ Water Resistance

Post by Hardcorr »

All you guys that have done the 1UZ swap, and mainly for those who use it, what is the water proofing like on them. I'm looking at putting one in my Shorty, but am hesitant if it doesn't like water.
The car is not used for anything else but flogging the living crap out of, and spends a bit of time driving through water. The old 3B just doesn't cut it anymore, and I'm looking for more power. It looks like it is getting the 2H out of my 60 for a short term fix, but in the next few months I want to look at a V8.

Cheers

Thanks CC, seem to be 'reply to you' do. Just wrote a reply to your welcome post on GPS Aus too.
I'd say I'll end up with going for a 1UZ, they're cheap enough that if it plays up from water I can flog it until it blows and put the diseasel back in.
