Center Diff Lock Fault

Post by Tony78rr »

The light on my centre diff lock (LT95) goes off 'sometimes' mainly when on the gas! Its not electrical but not sure whether the diff is moving back and forth (shims) or the drop in vacuum, with the loud pedal down, is causing the selector to release a bit of pressure on the fork! Anyone have any ideas before I pull it all to bits and waste a heap of time and gaskets.

Any help greatly appreciated!

PS switch is shimmed correctly as per manual!

Wierd - shouldnt be a loss in vacuum because to dactivate the diff lock vacuum must be swithed to pull the actuater the other.

Loosing vacuum wont make the centre unlock cause you can engauge the centre and then turn the motor off and it stays engaued.

I see what you mean!

Still does it though!

Not sure what the switch gets pushed in by to turn it on but there must be something dodgy in there! Possibly a loose shaft that moves away under torque?

Thanks anyway
