hey mate, im pretty sure mine has 14 blocks, too lazy to go and check, neways there is 6 in the tub alone and ummmm, yeah 8 up front so u need more.i got mine second hand with bolts allready but jusst take a standard one out to the shop and get two inches on that or so.And you'll have to play with your fuel filler hose,it comes up short.

I did a 2" on my runner and only needed the steering shaft extended. As far as the gear shifter goes, it doesn't need extending. HOWEVER, the metal plate with the rubber boot (under your shifter surround) needed trimming back as it made it hard to get it into reverse. Once you've done the lift, you'll know what I mean. (All done with VERY basic tools - I cut it in two places and bent it around. A Dremel or grinder will make it soooo much easier...)
Also, the plastice shifter surround will crack for the same reason, so I manipulated the metal brackets (cut/re-drilled/bent) so that the plastic trim now sits about 1-inch off centre (to the right).

hey, with mine my 2nd and 4th gear dont go in properly since the body lift.if you just gently pop it in they will come out, gotta sort of hold em in a bit as u change.my steering was fine,we undone the shaft to allow for movement but none was needed. You radiator shroud to will hit if it has the bottom half, mine didnt.brakelines are ok i spose.

With your steering shaft losen the clamp on the long splined end of the shaft under the dash and that should get enough movement there. I didn't do my lift (on the thing when i bought it) and by the look of it, it was just lifted and not moved. I turned the wheel hard one night out the bush and the colum broke in the tilt joint had to pull it apart out the bush ended up having to push it foward with it all un bolted from the mounts to get it to mesh so i could turn and limped it back to a mates place. Not alot of fun
plenty of parts on the bench

Re: ok
Oh yeah... Forgot about that bit too... But its only a case of undoing 2 (or 4?) clips and ripping it offTurbo Tonka wrote:You radiator shroud to will hit if it has the bottom half, mine didnt.brakelines are ok i spose.

I had to extend the main active cable
stretch the steel coiled brake line
slid the steering shaft up a little (ive been told a hilux is different to a 4 runner and you have to extend the shaft)
took the gear shift out and put it in a vice and bent it so it doesnt hit the body or crack the plastic it also stays in gear
extend fuel line and breather cut it and use stainless steel pipe
Keep your shroud it makes abig differens to the effectivness of your fan and cooling just make brakets to drop the radiator two inches or as mutch as your lift is
you may need to extend you body to engine earth
undoo the first braket that hold the hanbrake cable to the body and throw it down a hill
Check you can still access your spare
extend front and rear bar brackets
Thats about it.
What i should have done instead of cutting and extending the fuel fill and breather was just raise the fuel tank to fit
