10 litres per 100 klms 4wdriving/city, about 9 freeway driving sitting on 100klm, 9/11 when towing camper trailer depending on terrain, you will gain about an xtra 100k if running a turbo, they have a 65L tank standard. Regards Steve M

I'm pulling about 10-11k/litre. Also depends if you get a bad batch of diesel or if you fill it up good or to the first click. I read somewhere diesel froths up really bad when you're filling so even after first click at the pump you could still fill in a couple more litres after. That would make a huge diff in your calcs. But after having my lux over 2 years it's averaged around 10ish kays/L. BP's diesel seems to last longer than the other brands.

Ive got 33's standard diif gears & a turbo I get 500 k's to a tank & towing camper 350 - 450 pending on terrain. but my speedo is 10% out so thats 550 empty or 400 - 500 with trailer. I found when i put my Turbo on fuel econonmy was only slightly better & ive had a fuel card from mobil stations for past 4 years so ive allways bought same fuel.

HI there justinshere, you do 700/800klms per tank that equates to between 7/8 litres per 100 klms you sure you running standard tank, unheard of in a 2.8D hilux maybe 8 on the freeway if your lucky and its dead flat no head wind, and no air con running, possible eights if running a turbo and not flogging it, not saying your lying but must be the only 2.8 lux getting that. Yeah depending on how I drive mine, Standard 2.8, running 31's standard gears and get between 440 - 500k's from 50ltr. This is all city driving.

I got the timing belt and fuel filter changed the other week, so this is the first full tank I have run since getting these changed, will be interesting to see if anything changes.

$300 for exchange injectors (in my 1992 2.8NA) and $1200-1600 for a rebuilt pump!

I get 10L/100 cruising around the city on Mineral diesel, 11-13L/100 offroad, depending on how much low range work, and i get 9L/100 if i pop biodiesel into it around adelaide, which is a LOT of hills.

and ive got 300,000kms and dont drive economically!

35's increase your rolling diameter with4.3's your tailshaft doesn't spin as fast therefore the rpm drops and less fuel used that is one big reason you get good economy the others do help but tyres and diff ratio are a big contributor
plenty of parts on the bench

I got 2.8 turbo and run 35's with 4.3 diffs and get around 550km to a tank and thats a dual cab tank which i believe is smaller than the extra and single cab tanks.
