V6 commodore what transfer is best GQ or Sierra ?

Post by CWBYUP »

I've just got myself a LWB sierra and am going to put a V6 auto into it.

Just wondering how hard it is to hook up a 1.3l sierra transfer case to it ?

What about the GQ one ? Whats better ?

Will it handle the power with 35's ? If not any sugestions ?

Thanks Nick

i think that a land cruiser is a better option

sierra transfer handle a far bit provided there mounted well

and provided a they contain a good gear set

chopzki ran 44 inch swampers with out a drama as far as i know

depends on driving style also

GQ might be a bit on the large and long side by the time you add an adapter.

Other options: Hilux, Rover...

Sierra Tcase might be a bit too geared down in high range to suit the V6 Commo

I used a 75 series transfer behind the commy auto.

cheap, and heaps of gears, overdrives available.
