Leaking MU Sunroof

Post by bluemq »

Hey guys,

Can't seem to find anything in the manual about this, and the inner seal seems to be fine.

From what I can see, it's two problems:

a) the drainage holes are blocked (it looks like someone has sikaflexed them up or is that factory??)

b) the little gasket that seals the plastic unit that raises the sunroof is leaking.

so when the holes are blocked the water channel fills with water, which goes above the level of the sunroof, overflows into the cabin through the round twisting control thing that you use to put the roof up and down.

anyone else had this problem?

can you describe how to get the plastic control apart so I can replace the gasket or just silicon it up

thanks

Push the red buttons in to release the glass then lift up & back

thanks mate, much appreciated.

do you find the front of your sunroof sits up (comapred to the rear) when it is fully 'down' ?

i think the little stainless steel thing might need adjusting on mine as it doesnt fully close.

one other thing, do you know if the outer rubber gasket is a replaceable item - is it the same sunroof as fronteras?

cheers

Yeah mine sits up at the front. Causes a bit of wind noise.
