EFS Suspension

Post by maxdog204 »

Hi there guys,

I have a 97 3.1 Jackaroo with very tired Tuff Dog Suspension, she was originally 2" taller that standard but now sagged and unsteady on her feet. Has anyone had anydealings with EFS Suspension on their Jackaroo's?

Also Should I be changing the torsion bars as well with new shocks and coils??

I have got EFS stuff on my 03 Jack works great. Had rear coils custom done cos last Jacks had different ride height.
Replace T'bars, especially if fitting bar and \or winch.
Have been to central Aust towing camper trailer and Vic high country tracks with and without trailer. All works well.
09 Cruiser Tray ARB Bull Bar/side bars, dual batts, 3" Superiour lift, MTZs, other stuff. More to come!!!
90 Sierra Soft top, 3" body 2" spring lift, 31" Claws, 5.14 Calmini, more to do.

I have EFS Rear shocks in my Disco and they cooked them selves sitting on 100kmh on the NT dirt roads and I nearly lost it.

But I must say It was after about an hr 1/2 of heavy corrugations that would swallow a mini and after letting them cool for about that again they seemed to be back to normal.

They are still in it but I will change them before the next trip to some thing with a resoviour.

i put the efs t/bars , springs & shocks in my 98 jack. i wanted a matched package and they were the only ones that could supply the lot for me.

i found the shocks were a little stiff in the compression valving when driving around empty, but with a load on board they were great, off road it didnt want to articulate like the stock set-up if i was empty, but with a bit of a load on it was sweet.

it cost me about $1200 for the lot about a year and a half back.

Yes i would go them again no probs, but for my next shock purchase i will go the 3 way adjustable powerdowns.

cheers Brad
