Hi can anyone confirm to me that Gu patrols 04 in particular have H3 bulbs, the reason being as i'am wanting to upgrade to xenon lighting i just need to confirm this.

ive got an 04 and it has h4 globes. as do the 05 new shape

wow this was an old post....

yeah i found out ages ago they are H4.

IPF make a great bulb upgrade its similar to doing a loom upgrade but you dont have to.

they bulb is called ipf fat bulb i.e its a massive bulb with a white light seen a few done and as soon they get stock i will be putting some in.

i contemplated hid inserts but i dont think they are worth it due to the mechanism used in them.

u mean the same as ARB sell for $150? i was about to buy them but i stoped and thought hang on a sec.. :? i think i would rather see them in action before im ready to fork out some cash on something... im about the have 4 X 100w spotties in front of my patrol... will i really need new globes in my factory headlights??? im still not convinced though :?


if someone local has some new globes or HIDs that they wouldnt mind showing me one night/trip i would be happy, but untill then i think il wait

There was an article in the South Aussie online mag that AJ does on the Fat bulbs, and they got a shit hot report

I got IPF X51's (fat boys) and i dont hink they are worth the money IMHO, I find that a good set of 90/100's are just as good (provided they are relayed). Although I have reinstalled them as I went to HID driving lights and are not so concerned about High Beam. ( which is were i felt they were a let down, although low beam is good ).
