1.6 block with 1.3 head

Post by Rotazuk »

Hi
Don't want to get into a debate on weather its a good idea or not , we are doing it as the block is a 1.6 16v swift and we do not want to chop a hole in the firewall for the dissy .

So putting a 1.3 head on it . What head gasket have you used and cam belt and cam cover used ? If life was good the 1.6 cam belt and cover would fit but I bet thats not the case .

Thanks

Chris

you run a vitara belt , so you have to change the cam sproket to 1.6 unit !!

i think the 1.3 hieght is shorter than the 1.6 , so you will have to cut & shut a cover !!!

(i dont run 1 !!!! :? )
