rock rover gq leaf sprung is exactly the same as your mq except the idler arm points towards the back of the car

and the coil sprung has drag link is same spot but with an arm straight from pitman arm to opposite side swivel hub just near the 4 king pin bolts on top of the hub

matge i think that you will find that gq leaf axels/diffs are the same width as mq ones. correct me if i'm wrong. Pretty sure the wider track came when they went to coils. gq leaf front diff would still be a whole lot better than mq tho.

Early GQ was just an MQ with a TD42, tha later ones have the same body but the chassis is actually pretty different and they do have a wider track

i say 60 series for the rear as it has the same offset as an mq.
whereas gq has a centred rear pumpkin, altho alot of ppls say u can run with the tail shaft offset im yet to see one that has passed engineering and going on you other posts i think you are keen to be legal :)

even if the front is only marginally wider it will still be stronger and wont have that gay cast bit to have to work with

yeah

Post by rockrover »

yeah thats kool are the 60s the same width as the gqs? also the reason i wanted to run the gqs was to get rid of the cast shite outa the way the extra track was just a bonus but the reason i wanna use the leaves was i was hoping the steering wouldnt be too different also the sixtys already got soa perches? cos i kno some hiluxes did is this a toyota trait also how strong 60 diff/axels?

you can put your mq knuckles onto a gq front housing

you'll probably need to lengthen your tie rod or you'll be a bit pidgeon toed
