Steering box - take a look in the members section at Bub's SWB hilux build. Or call BBM in Sydney and buy the pre fab ones.

Brakes - are you planning on getting it engineered? If so ask the engineer for his opinion. Personally i'd look at running the GQ master and booster that is factory designed to work with the brakes attached to your diffs.

GQs under lux

Post by justinshere »

I planned on doing this, but i jus bought a GQ

Steering... I got my parts from superior engineering, they were very helpful, give em a call

Brakes... Get hold of an 80s master cylinder. You only need the master cylinder. I put the booster on aswell and the brakes were bloody shit, they didnt ease on at all, they were either on or off.
So what i did was put the 80 master cyl with the standard lux booster and i can lock 35s in the dry. works awesome

Hope this helps

Sorry to hijack the thread for a second.
Had some wacked out bloke road rage me in sydney we exchanged a few words and he got a cro-bar and a jerry can out of his ute and came at me well I'm not one to back down but that was ridiculious so having no weapons to match him with I used my car and drove it at the c*#t missing him and hitting another 2 cars (drove over a hyundia and wiped out a falcon both were parked) I then left the scene cause this bloke was stil out there with the bar and fuel. He then got to the police first and I got charged with use an offensive weapon etc he did'nt he is the victim according to the cops. So now they want my car to pay for damages thus the power steering is for sale and anything else that it does'nt really need
