I bought one at an independant speed shop. You can get them but to be honest they should be mounted so you can scare shit out of the passenger and not distract the driver.
There's so many variables on the move that an inclinometer cant cope with, so dont rely on one for accuracy on sideslopes or anything. I'd had mine teetering near oblivion and still saying all was fine, yet also been off the end of the scale completely stable.
Usually it's one tyre in the whole place that pushes you from "no worries" to "oops too much" and that can happen in seconds :(

i
i hav 1 in my mk and as long as u tighten the adjust ment screw nice n tight so she dosent move on the trip and u set it at level -0- on both dials it works a treat i was really happy with how it performed ps cost me 19 bucks with back light at 4wd mega stores it does side and foward angles and it goes to 40 degrees (point of no return) and i have driven it most of that way up to bout 38 degrees anyway as the surf and four runner 1s go to 35 i think not sure as to what the newer 1s go to but my mates only reads at 35 degrees max just make sure its in the exact middle of ur dash and is parralell with ur axels so u dont get a false reading i think in the past it has saved me a couple o times i mean for 20 bucks u cant go wrong

you know that 45 degrees is half way over now im not sayin these clinometers are acurate but they give a good indication of thats far enuff if u catch my drift untill ur car gets to 45 degrees by rights it shouldnt tip over also if u dont have sway bars ur angle will decrese slightly due to the axels staying on land as ur cab and chassis rolls with the country side so basically for slow meticulous driving they are helpfull but they arnt for any driving above 3rd gear low range as they sway side to side and up and down due to the terain and give false readings i personally think if u like driving wierd lines and angles they are deff worth what u pay if u set them up correctly

I bought a cheapie off ebay, and beleive me you get what you pay for. It was a bucket of shite, it got stuck and jammed all the time with bumps, yuk.
Wouldnt mind a decent one, i was bitch in a mates middy today and was watching his built in one a fair bit seeing what angles we were getting on, unfortunately it stopped at 30deg.

I really dont understand the whole idea tho
If your in the drivers seat and you cant feel where that edge is, you need more 4x4 time.
If you learn by using the inclinometer rather than feel you will always be one step behind. heistation can sometimes be the tipper, so wanting to pause for a sec to check out your inclinometer will cost you in my opinion.
not to mention your never going to know exactly whats going on by using the meter anyway due to the need of testing the tip point.
In my mind they will always just be in the blingy catergory but thats just my opinion.

I have a tilt meter you can have mate im never going to use it id prefer not to know what angle im on its new and has a backlight you can hook upto parkers and im not far away from you either mate im in werribee

Just tie a peice of string to the roof.
If the string is touching towards the driver then you are leaning to the right.
If the string is touching the passenger then you are leaning towards the left.
If the string is touching the back seat then you are going up a hill.
If the string is touching the windscreen then you are going down a hill.
If the string is coiled up on the roof then you are upside down.
If the string is wet then you stuffed up the water crossing.
What more do you need to know?

Ferozas come standard with 'em, but they're a waste of dash space imho. If you've got time to be lookin' at your inclinometer, you've still got a looooong way to go before you fall over.

so not tru wen slow idleing in first low its rather handy to have when negotiating buldozer trails as they have a steeper tip angle than 4x4 also good to know wen ur at 35 degrees as thats farkin steep feels like ya gunna topple out ur passengers window u can drive a lot harder/steeper lines and drive in places u wouldnt have tried before yes ur head is a good indication but u only have to glance at it and if u have a passenger its makes life a bit easier also i have used it on many ocasions only down side is u have to set it on level ground rather often but in saying that i wouldnt have driven some of the buldozer tracks with out it cos some of those suckers get mighty sketchy side angle wise

The best ones that I've found (although never used....no really!) are from marine shops. They're an accessory on sailing boats I believe and they'll go to 45 deg both ways plus they're kind of flouresent looking to assist in reading the scale.

Inclinometers are worse than useless, they are dangerous. The angle that a car becomes unstable on is influenced by so many factors that trying to get a handle on the actual angle the cars gets unstable at is impossible.
I have seen cars at enormous side angles not fall over because a small rut etc was holding the tyre.
I have seen cars roll when they seemed stable as the driver added power.
Cars, especially suzuki's, get very unstable on compund angles, so the car might be stable at 35deg of side angle, but fall over at 30 degree side angle, 10 degress of climb.
Really really really a meter cannot tell you all this. None of these meters are accurate when the car is in motion. (Toyota's meters even say this.) So in a manual 4WD, you can only "read" the gauges when the car is stationary, by which time you aren't going to fall over anyway.
If you must have one, there was a factory option meter for widetrack sierras that fits in the little coin tray next to the digital clock. It was $850 from you nearest suzuki dealer
You will become a much better driver without this "driver aid"
