Aerotech seat rails - where from??

Post by slowhilux »

I've done a fairly good search for some rails to bolt a pair of Aerotech seats into an 80 series, but keep coming up with dead ends. I need to know if these items are still made, and if so where the bloody hell do i get them from?!

I was told Aerotech went out of business... You may have to adapt something else...

geez, thats not what i wanted to hear! Adapting them wil be a ig PITA, cos the 80 series rails have the seat belt attachment built in, which in turn bolts to the original seat

Hopefully someone here has a more satisfying answer for you... The question was asked about aftermarket seats for a troopy on EO some time back and recommended Aerotech. Several people chimed in and announced they were no longer... I had them and my step father has had a set in his troopy for ~10 years with no issue. Great seats, hope you work it out...

you may have to modify your exsiting seat rails to suit seat i am going though it at the moment in the gq autobahn have a universal ones but dont really suit 4wds due to most seat positions beingof the floor

hope that was some help ;)

ones from recaro etc should work, I've been told they are fairly generic mountings.

Try ARB, they should be able to get in Paratus seat rails. I dont think there real cheap. But the ones I have seen for a GU looked very good and well made. Much better than the seat rails I got for my Aerotech seat. Which was an aerotech base also. I thought they where abit agricultral. I could have done a better job with a bit of time. But they where strong.
As for the seat it was good I was very happy with it and want another one. So its a bugger there out of bussiness.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....
