I have got the poos with my 12HT. Its like the turbo isnt working. I took the turbo off pulled it apart there is nothing wrong with it.I put the turbo back together put it back on the car take it for a drive and its gutless i push the clutch in and give it a little rev turbo whistles and spools and when the revs are going down it goes pop sort of like a backfire why a diesel would do that i have no idea ( help on that would be muchly appreciated). i have recently intercooled it so i thought i might have popped one of the hoses off. So i get out they are all fine get back in turn around still gutless WHY PLZ HELP ME i am slowly giving up on it its P***ING me off so bad i have no car and it sucks.
Cheers Guys Reise

12HT Question *** HELP PLZ ***

yeh was gonna say sounds more like a fuel or air supply issue.
Id be checking your fuel filters. Secondary fuel filter is $12 for a cheapie valvoline one at supercheap.
Primary is on the inlet union to the lift pump. Wire gauze filter.
Could be a lift pump issue, to check this you disconect the inlet and outlet of the lift pump, put a hose on the inlet down into a bucket of fuel 1m below the lift pump height. Then pump the manual primer pump 1pump/sec. Should take less than 25 pumps to start pushing fuel. If it takes more than 30 you should put a kit through the lift pump.
$35 or so will get you new primer pump, new inlet and outlet valves, and other stuff for the back end of the lift pump. Generally its just a problem with the valves or the hand primer though so you dont need to take the lift pump off the injector pump.
If you really dont know what your looking at its probably best to take it to a diesel injection place. They will charge about $75/hr to look at it, but should find the problem pretty quick.
