Full floating rear axles

Post by Barathrum »

I thought this might be of some interest. Full floating rear axle kit.
I wonder what freight out here would be worth??
It could enable staying with Suzuki gear for a lot longer and avoiding some of the hassles of engineering associated with diff swaps.

Seems to work great on my truck, had a few issues with the bolts coming undone on the drive flanges but I think that is becuase of the locker.

Rob of RS mfg sends a lot of his gear to you guys in the US, he supplies some of the major dealers. He may not answer his emal very quickly though - he is very busy.

Cool idea, but would cost you a fair bit by the time you got it here. The price listed on the side for long & short shafts is 180 pound, which is about AUD$450. That is just for the shafts by the look of it, and not including freight, GST etc etc.

It wouldn't be that expensive to get the shafts made locally, but by the time you get the drive flanges done, plus whatever other bits you need the cost would be stacking up there too.
