has any one ever converted a hilux t/case into a devorced t/case say like in principle a suzuki sierra or nissan 720 t/case ?

You can buy a kit from OTT Industries in the US. http://www.ottindustries.com/divorcetoyota.htm

But i think you could also make your own using an extension housing from an early 4spd gearbox. A little cutting and making a flange and i know it will work.

Doing a secong t case as a devorced one I can understand but other wise why bother?

its for a suzuki so needs to be devorced so if any one was to look under my car i can take it out and say its all gen suzy .No the suziki t/sharft and hilux is the same bolt patten for startes plus the options are unlimited centre rear output etc etc etc

Not to mention stronger than a zook xfer. Not that there are too many breakages happening at the moment even with 6:1 but it'll be interesting to see how the zook xfer holds up as time goes by. This is a good one to keep in the back of one's mind :cool:
