yeah i wanna drop the ute too but that wont happen anytime soon.

Plans for the body are to close the rear directly behind the rear door and pillar. Rear is to have 4" dovetailed tube tray. With a 32NB tube exo to cover the roof and front cut. all the steel is here and ready to go.

No coil overs for the rear yeat as i have mentioned budget is at a stand still, so gotta make the most of wat i have got here.

Flex.... havnt had it driving in its current state to test flex, but lifting one front corner went to the top of the hilift with wat seemed to be plenty more to go... which in my humble opinion was more than enough.
Ill prob put limiting straps on the front after i take it out for a spin in the woolies carpark.

Nice cars guys,i know a hilux is better for the hard stuff but it looks like i might be buying a disco to tow the boat,im starting to get a soft spot for them. :D

nice to see a pic of the engine bay, very helpful. seems a bit of a bugger getting the piping out of the turbo to the cooler and then back in the manifold.

i've got arather large saab 9-3 cooler waiting to be attached to my isuzu 2.8...plumbing work looks expensive.

did you go for pipe the same size as the turbo or the size of the cooler? and what cooler did you use this year?

Read - thats an Awesome 90 you have there! I have been admiring that for some time......Actually there are some very nice 90's getting around now....

265/75/R16 BFG A/T
Genuine LR headlight guards
Hella Rally 2000 driving lights
Safari Snorkel
Canvas Seat covers
Custom made roof light bar with 4 Hella FF300 driving lights
3” Mandrel Bent Exhaust

Coming soon are a new suspension set up and a rear wheel carrier.

It is a 1984 Land Rover 90 and is an ex Hong Kong airport bird control vehicle. When I got it, it had the 2.5 litre petrol, but I have spent the last three years converting it to a 3.5 V8, goes much better!! It is running 255 Cooper ST's, MacNamara rear diff lock with 30 spline axles (Way over kill).

On the shopping list is a snorkel (drowned the 2.5 with 2 bent conrods), a front diff lock (Now I have power I'm starting to break things!!) bull bar, winch and a decent set of tyres for when it is wet and slippery my 7.50x16 SAT just aren't tall enough these days!! Also, I want to put in a second fuel tank, as 55 litres is understandably not enough.t

Also I still have my original car

This is a 1955 86" series 1 with series 2 axles, a MacNamara bolt operated rear diff lock, series 11A F suffix gearbox (Last non syncro gearbox made and first gearbox with a sealed input shaft) this combined with the original A suffix transfer case gives a low 1st of about 50:1, series 3 2.25l diesel, snorkel and home made bull bar and home made PTO winch!! (Note the picture on the left is on the old Black boy spur track in Gembrook, for any that remember it.)

Its standard apart from the fact that it has a 2litre petrol out of a 1955 86", instead of the 1.6 litre petrol, bought it that way. It is also one of the very last of the constant four wheel drive series 1's. Anyone who has been to the Victorian Four Wheel drive show in the last few years will have seen it puttering around the test track.

all the major stuff is done(gussets etc), lotsa lil tidy up stuff to go and final inspection. had fairly inconsistent work last few months so its been slow going with $$$, dont want to get it rego'd and then not be able to afford ins, tyres, broken bits etc
