Anyone know of a good 8.25R16, maybe something light-truckish or tractorish that wouldn't be too expensive?

Let me have a look through some listings.
I know I can get 7.5 16 tractor tyres R1's.
Get back to you tomorrow.
You wont get anything agressive in a radial tho.

Sorry dude ... 825 is gunna be expensive.

Most are 14 ply rating, and any thing lighter is like rocking horse excretia.

Check Michelin,
they sell a 8.25R16 Tyre. It is called XZL, I think. It comes from the same range (ARMY) as the 9.00R16.Not sure about the price...

look around for a Firestone SAT, awesome tyre and they came in this size but they are petty hard to come by, supposedly NZ has more of them

Hi Eddy,

Yep I would go for 7.50R16 if I can't get 8.25. I am even thinking about 9.00R16, not sure what's legal if the largest original size was 7.50R16.

235/85R16 same diameter as 7.50, and an inch or so wider. Some fairly good treads available too.

was going to run 8.25 16's on my ute but they were too hard to get hold of and new was not worth the expense (cheaper to run 35's)

If ya get REALLY desperate, youcould go to a truck wrecker and get some of whatever they got (they'll be 14 ply) and groove the hell out of'em ;)
