low volts on my gq
low volts on my gq
i started my gq tb42 yestereday morning before work and i noticed the volts were sitting on about 11, i didnt have time to see what was wrong so i started to drive to work and as soon as i started driving the volts went up to about 14. then after work the same thing happened but on the way home i noticed if i got the revs up over 2500 the volts would go back up to 14 then slowly drop down to 11 till i reved it again. battery terminals are tight and alternator is spinning. Maybe the alternator has died?

Sounds like the alternator is on the way out.
Mine did the same over a period of time until it died completely. Priced a new one from Nissan and it was like $900 or something stupid
In the end it turned out it was the regulator. Replaced that for about $65. Might be worth a look before you spend the big bucks
