I believe the city emblem is only from the dealer which was City Suzuki. If its a 91 model it will definitely be a wide track, welcome to the suzi world! If you'd like mor e info, why dont you come down to the suzi club, were meeting tommorrow night in Glen Iris at 8pm.
Click on the link below to get details.
Use a heat gun to get rid of the sticker!

AAAAArrrrrrrr.
The very rare Suzuki City Sierra.
Specially designed with Harold Scrubby in mind.
The whole car is a crumple zone to be used between trucks and pedestrians to reduce falities. fitted with a transfer case with no low range, originally with no softtop so other drivers could throw rubbish into it rather then onto the curb and only available it dayglow red for high visability and warning for other road users.
Don't know why you bought one in excellant condition though once the bug bites hard enough you'll be throwing it at rocks soon enough.

MAN u made my heart stop . so the model comes with a fucked up transfer case ? how much will that cost to replace ? what do u mean by crumble zone is the chassie built weaker ?
is there any other downsides to the model as i am planning on turning it into a offroad project car.
i could probaly stop the payment but i will lose my deposit ?
any more down points ???? please be urgent if u can this has made my head explode. WTF

then maybey new shackles or leafs with the rest to let me fit them in ??
this is just a guess but i would really like some advice. maybey some urls of items or prices . thanks guys

Watch the for sale section, put what you want in the wanted section, join a club and speak to the other members and buy everything second hand.
Wheels and tyres can be around the $300 - $500, springs around $250 - $300. If you have a spare $300 get a reversible body lift of Gutless on this forum. You may be lucky enough to find a diff with a locker for about $400 - 500. Shackles you can make yourself for about $20-30. Extended brake lines $100. Remove your sway bar FREE. Front bar to suit body lift, mine cost me $50 to make. Rollbar if it doesn't have one, the B pillars are there for nothing more then to keep the soft top above your head, cost I'm not sure probably about $50 - $200 second hand.
Then save up for some transfer gears, (I wasn't far off when I said your sierra wasn't fitted with low range, because there is hardly any difference between standard Hi/Low and once you fit larger tyres all Sierra struggle with gearing offroad)
I'm a great fan of keeping things reversible so that I can revert back to stock if the need arises, the only thing I've done so far is cut of the front bumper mounts.

spend some time going through the bible at the top of this section as all the se questions are answered there. Also as suggested I'd recommend getting in touch with the Suzuki Club and get along to a meeting. I don't reckon you should jump straight into modding it too much as you more than likely will end up doing things twice. No point getting a set of 30" tyres when you realise in 6 months you want 33s for example.vicelore wrote:hey man . nice answer

Learn how to drive the car and see what it is capable of, you will be surprised, but more importantly find out what you are capable of. You need to get afeel for what the car does and what sort of stuff you want to do. Then modify it to suit your needs and budget.
Ransom note = demand + collage
what he said...even better, go for a ride in a modded rig, just sitting in the passenger seat. Feeling the car is more important learning which lines to take etc....grimbo wrote:spend some time going through the bible at the top of this section as all the se questions are answered there. DISCO TIME!
I would actually disagree. a set of 30" retread muddies will set you back about 400, you will only need lifted springs to fit them, you wont have to worry about gearing immediatly. However you will be surprised where they will take you, and in the mean time whilst you are having loads of fun with those tyres you can be thinking about and learning about exactly what you want to achieve with your car. Yes you may want to fit 33" tyres on your car but realisticly you would do this as part of a $5000 build, or get evreything else on your car, Ie gearing, lockers, rear springs in the front, bodylift and then once you have done all that, go out and spend $1200 on tyres. by the time you have got all this done, your retread muddies will be up for replacement anyway. (unless you already have the money.)grimbo wrote:spend some time going through the bible at the top of this section as all the se questions are answered there. yea thats what i was thinking i havent got 5000 atm nor am i experianced enough to know what to get.
but would like some basic mods as i said springs and tyers . that would be allright to start with . the main thing is the car looks quite dull with the stock wheels .
any sujestions on brands models ?
im kinda drawn between pepole . i seen a body lift kit in the 4 sale section for 300 and shackles for 120
would them 2 mods and some 30-31 inches be a nice start ?

$300 is a bit much I think gutless from this site does reversible body lifts for less then that. I would recomend just getting some lifted springs and tyres. 30" will be an easier fit then 31" and gearing will be more adequate. shackles you can make yourself, come along to a club meeting and someone might help you do it. If you dont like the look of your wheels buy some black spray paint and diy.vicelore wrote:yea thats what i was thinking i havent got 5000 atm nor am i experianced enough to know what to get.

Have you taken the car off road yet? Take it for a drive on some fire trails or something and get an idea of how it goes and learn as you go. I don't see a point to modifying (as in improving) any car if you don't notice the difference once it's done, due to not driving it (offroad) before hand. Why buy any tyre over the one's you have now if you won't know what the difference off road will be?
Go out wheeling, find it's limits, then improve it.
