when mine was chopped I pulled everything out of the interior...seats, carpet you name it...it came out. Just in case of a fire. Wiring harnesses were the hassle, some were not only very hard to get out...but a real pain in the preverbial to get back in.
Depending on what your hood lining is like, pay attention there. If it has the sound proofing/insulation stuff stuck the roof (behind hood lining) scrape as much of that off as you can...it ignites very easily with the smallest of sparks.
If you plan on getting it engineered after the cut, probably would be a good idea to speak to a engineer BEFORE you cut as well...just so there are no suprises afterwards. That way the engineer can inform you on what they expect. And take plenty of photos (I averaged about 50 per day)...engineers love having lots of photos to look at, especially if its of areas that are concealed once the chop is complete.
The only other advice I can offer....check it TWICE....cut it ONCE!

yep i learnt this the hard way when mum parked her falcon behind my 40 when i did the guard chop.just cruizin' wrote:Ensure you cover all the glass both inside and out so that during the cutting process sparkes don't stuff em, we had to replace all the glass in a troopy at work because the guys didn't cover up properly when cutting in a third door.

you use the flange tool to step the sheet so one peice sits under the other kinda like this -=- then the tool punches holes for spot welds to put it back together. best used on the roof and side panels
and definatly have the whole project looked at by an engineer before you get the grinder out
ive seen people gave to cut cars back up just to add 1 lil thing or to prove they did sumfin to an engineer
