CAN I USE 2ND HAND LPGAS HOSES, but put new fittings on

Post by bucketofbolts »

just wanting to know if i can use 2nd hand lpgas hoses,

if i put new fittings on, or will anyone sell me new hose or tell me what type of hose it is,

gas places won't sell it to me or tell me what it is, for obvious reasons,

any help would be good,

Its similar to hydrolic hose only its a woven cloth covering on the outside.

sells for around the $12.00 a metre mark last time I bought some.

Fittings are hydrolic style and of the same standard
( there's a hint in that ;) )

Yes you can use 2nd hand hoses but you cant reuse copper pipe, i had no probs buying aeroquip lpg hose and fittings when i did my conversion.

i have no problem buying new hoses, but no gas shop will sell them to me, might have a talk to links, (just like pertek), to see what he can do,

the hoses in for sale section would be good, but it's pick up only,

yes it's from the tank to the convertor and then to the mixer,

AFAIK - copper is a big no-no on a car with a chassis. flex hose only. There was a thread on this a while ago.
