got new amp and need a place to ground it.. tried byhind seat but everywhere i do it,still get engine noise

run cable direct from battery neg, although are you sure the hum isn't from the head unit?

i grounded my amp near the tail gate and had no problem with it make sure u sand all the pant bak aswell for the earth point, check head unit ground, run rca's and trigger wire on one side of the car and power on the other

if your certain you have a good engine/ battery earth and your head unit is earthed properly
and you amp is
well you should either get a set pf rca supressors or buy better amps or headunits with built in suppressors and noise filters
just my two cents nothing more nothing less

yer its a old poineer head unit and a ebay amp.. but i will just try to make it work.. very short on funds.. but i am hoping earthing it on battery will work.. thanks guys for help
