Price on clutches?

Post by Josh n Kat »

Just wondering how much a can expect to pay for a heavy duty clutch?

I need something to go behind my turbo diesel and my preference of fourbing is along creek beds, slow technical shit that tends to load the clutch up a bit....
Sort of expecting between 800 to 1000 bucks, is this right?

i just bought a exedy sports heavy duty clutch for my cruiser and it cost me $275 trade, very nice looking clutch too and i was told retail was $580

i got a price on a highway standard clutch and it was $220 and a rpm heavy duty clutch was $220 as well, thats both trade price

so unless your going for a brass button or twin plate or something i would guess about $500ish

I spent $450 on a Ci 4TERRAIN from Bursons. I'm installing it at the moment so i can't comment on peformance, but do a search and you'll come up with some of my research.

Repco do "Clutch Industries" clutches and offer trade discounts. Have never used a CI clutch, only Exedy heavy duty. You have pm.

I'm sure Coventry Autos do Exedy Clutches at trade discounts. You could give them a call.

Yeah 2.8TD clutches are cheap as chips, especially standard duty.

Just got my synchro's replaced and got a H/D clutch put in at the same time.

$545 for the clutch $65 for flywheel machining.

All up for 2 new synchro hub, 3 triple ring synchro's plus the rest of the usual rebuild stuff for just over $2200. This included remove and refit and the cost of teh new clutch and pressure plate.

Heaps nicer to drive when you don't have to double shuffle into 2nd and 3rd.
