patrol speaker mounting
patrol speaker mounting
love my music so up grading the sound a bit in my gq but before i start pulling things apart has anyone ever mounted 6x9 in the rear quaters where the rear seat belts go (LWB) any ideas would be great and any ideas of amp mounting to would be help full
Hey GQTrol, I have mounted 6 x 9's and in the rear had few problems. They were mounted above and slightly behind the wheel arches. The LHS just fitted between the removable panel for the jack and the wheel arch.
The RHS in sorta the same position.
They both require extensive hole cutting with a jigsaw, but the RHS needed an aluminium plate pop rivited to the existing panel to mount the speaker rigidly.
My speakers were 350w with a large magnet but they did not need spacers.
