Front indicators/ parking lights issue.

Post by midnight »

Why would the drivers side parking lights work, But the front indicator doesnt.

The passenger side indicator works, But the parking lights dont.

They are both earthed good, Connected up properly, No loose wires, No blown bulbs..................

Ill spray the connectors with WD40 today, See if that helps (Or is that a NoNo?).

Anyone got an idea?

rust, mud and/or crud in the where the bulb fits.
Also wire can break or come off behind the globe and not be obvious.

I cleaned out the bulb holders with WD40.

Still dont work.

Why would the opposing light wires break?

The lights were working 2 weeks ago, and they werent touched til yesterday.
Actually, the whole car wasnt touched til yesterday.

Probably best to ask in electrical section, more wiring experts in there.

You need a tester that will fit into the globe holder, to see if it has any power, etc

Check relays, chase wires and inspect, particularly where they pass through metal.

Basically get a voltmeter or light, find the voltage in the circuit and chase it to where it stops.
