That kit is about $300 cheaper then an ARB OME Dakar setup. That's adding about $80 for U-bolts and $100 for bushes and around $120 or so for the shackles. For the sake of $300 I would go the OME setup as it's tried and trusted.

Better off to stick to a brand you know that will do the job rather than a cheaper brand that might end up costing you even more. I have OME's on my Zook and when it comes to replacements or upgrades, I would never put a no name brand on it reguardless how much cheaper they might be.
It's not the size that counts!!

I asked about these springs a while ago and he told me the springs were EFS and the shocks were Ultima.

Does anyone have any first hand experience with EFS??

How do these compare to Maxi Trac??

I can already hear the "Buy OME, tried and tested, etc" which they are, I won't dispute that, but I'd like to hear from people who've used either of these brands as well....

they almost look like the maxi trac that i got from repco. very similar. $50 per side.

maxi trac were very stiff. ended up throwing them away and getting ome.

Did you notice if the maxi trac springs were the same sort of length as a standard spring, but with more arch, or were they longer?

And excuse me for being a scrooge, but why would you throw them out instead of throwing them back over the counter at Repco and telling them their springs are shiat?

I was tossing up between a set of these EBAY springs and maxis until I read you've had trouble.

Anybody have any experience with these EFS springs?

Sorry to hijack, but I'm in the same boat.
