Hilux X-Over steer idea.

Post by Gribble »

Had an idea the other day,

Ive already got X-over fitted, but i want to lower the lux a little,

Im thinking about buying another ORI arm and having the taper drilled in from the bottom and then getting a flatter pitman arm on the box, hoping to get some standard height springs in there that will sit on the dropped hangers and extended shackles, effectively giving it a 2" lift instead of about 4-5" that it has now.

Has anyone done this and how low have they gotten it?

And dont tell me to get hi-steer, its just too expensive at the moment.

Thanks.

In the 2 sas we have done we have no droped hangers and 2" springs using the Y arm from ORI with the reverse tapers (underneath) and have no problems with clearance issuses with it at all.

Using the stock pitman arms.
