Chemi Weld Is it that bad

i have a crack in the head gasket of my 1.6L feroza and want to put chemiweld in it to see if that will fix it.

its just a short term solution but is it worth it ?

yep, Buy something called similiar to metal tech. It looks like it has copper shavings in it. its in a clear bottle. Thats is proven to work about 4 times i know of from a stuffed water pump on a tata and a coroeded housing on a rodeo. ALso worked for a head gasket on a carolla i used to own.

Fixed a magna I had once for over 18 months till we could afford the replacement. Worked a treat

However, did Jack S for my Patrol recently, which still boiled on every hill and died and untimely death just a few weeks ago.

if its just the gasket pull the head and do the gasket. no point risking a 2000 dollar head on a 150 dollar gasket

Had zero sucess with chemiweld


I recemend stuff called "Silver", comes in a round cardboard tube about 3" long and an inch in diameter.

My mech said Chemiweld makes fixing it later on an absolute PITA!!

sold the car within the next 6+ mths so dunno the long term of it.

Where most people stuff up with Chemi-weld is they either dont follow the instructions or the whole in the system is just to big.

Ive had plenty of success with Chemi-weld, we've even used it in rally cars a few times!

Mind you, definately only a short term soloution to get you back home and fix your shit properly. I wouldn't be relying on it to last forever.

The way i drive it it will probably get rolled before the Chemiweld lets go, i did it last night and it worked a treat. decided to really test it and gave it a flogging down windsor rd and it ran great.

its just a temp fix while i build or buy something else.

Thats the stuff. My old mans rodeo is still not leaking after 3 years. The leak was that bad that it was spraying everywhere ( Not a trickle) we poured it in and literally watched the leak stop within 10 seconds.

Also i can add a TD 2.8 surf. My bro done a head gasket so he wnet and chucked 2 bottles in and worked a treat.

I would use it then keep an eye on it. Id definatly get it fixed before a big trip just to be sure, But it definatly works.
