standard clutch

Post by newbyferoza »

Well my clutch has now finally died. How much and where in Brisbane can I buy a standard clutch for a 96 feroza. I have a mate who is going to install it for me this weekend so just need to know where I can get one. I don't need a heavy duty one as I am selling the car in December as I am moving to the Cape for work.

A heavy duty is only $20 more and could be a good selling point. ;)

Make sure you get the flywheel machined otherwise you might end up with a shuddering clutch.

Seems awfully expensive guys - if he is just fixing it up to sell then maybee a driven plate only may do the job.

Remember its just a Applause clutch - Daiken make them and they are virtually a stock item.

Can't remember exactly how much - chucked the recieps away - but under $100 rings a bell ( for the driven plate ).

Go to any brake and clutch place and that should be that....

Have a HEAVY DUTY system in mine - and after a few thousand k's its softened up a little but it was an absolute pain when new.

To make it sellable then would strongly recomend a stock unit.

They are not tha same as an Applause - although an Applause clutch will fit by the sound of it? :?

The Feroza clutch plate is a slightly larger diameter 200mm vs 180mm or 190mm depending on the Applause version.

Hmmm - well the Appluase clutch that i fitted ( a Daiken competition unit ) was the same diameter - which makes sense as you would want the largest diameter possible for a race clutch.

Also have a new stock Applause driven plate at home will measure it.

If you to the link below:

http://www.valeoservice.com/html/australia/en/

, then click on the "Valeo Web Catalogue" buttom you can put in the Applause and Feroza details to see they are different.

The Daiken (Daikin?) web site is the same, but stuffed if I can find the site at the moment!
