would love to have a go at this event this year as a first major comp for a bit of shake down before next years events but think its a bit far away from where i am, i'm also sorta committed to mud bulls and music, plus need to try and get some prize money to put back into my ride and to get spare parts for next year.

We will rethink numbers once we get to 20. We have 16.

If we go over 20 we have to split you into 3 groups and at this stage we have marshalls and facilities for 2 groups.

You re-group each day - Instead of waiting for 19 vehicles a head of you to do a stage we get a group out doing one stage while another group does another stage. All groups do the same stuff that day, just in a different sequence.

We dont want groups to exceed 10 rigs so we have another leap in requirements when we get to 21 or 22 rigs.

Car'n you know you wanna do it!!

We have had a few requests in regards to when entries close, becuase of major events such as the Vic Winch.

There is no problem at all for late entries and we realise that becuase of these events you cannot make a decision until after.

We will take entries up until the end of October, however we prefer entries in ASAP for catering, organising, such as extra marshals, etc

The build up is under way.. I'm going to have to build a new car from the ground up in less than four weeks.. geez i'm slack.
I may be looking for an idiot to sit in the silly seat for me... expressions of interest can be pm'd..

Just had the 2 Tassie GU rigs sign up. They are driving up Friday. If that is the trend then maybe the 1 night off is the Friday night but that means action every other night. First stage would then be Sat at 10am.

Thoughts??

I'm a big fan of letting people who are travelling on Friday get some rest after a long drive and not be driving completely knackered like another comp I know, but it would be cool to have a hit out on the Friday night as a warm up? We'd be up for it on the Friday night I reckon, maybe a run along a dry creek bed to blow the cob webs out?

We have passed the 20 teams mark, and looks like many more are still to come.

As Hobzee was saying we will take entries to the last minute as we have full mobile phone coverage and mobile internet on the property to take all messages, emails and keep you up to date on the forum to what is going on.

More names added on our list of teams

Darren Green (Krimnl Racing)
Jeff Redman (possibility)

i think we should keep the friday night free and start sat morning, this means that people leave at a reasonable hour friday to drive up . some people may even work then drive up afterwards.
but im easy as i can leave thursday if need be , but some people need to work!!
we have spectators coming up but they cant get the day of work

No wonder cliffhanger has more than doubled its entries for this year from last year. Four days of comp, all food included, showers, toilets, fuel on site. $1300 inclusive, compare that to OBC $3300.

Well done to Hobzee and Rudi for offering a well priced great event.
good to see someone is trying to look after the competitors.

The numbers for 2007 Cliffhanger will definatly triple now.

We have listed a new budget price package for spectators who don't want to be catered for.

Prices start as little as $75 per day for adults, or $225 for the entire event. U16 starts from $25. Children under 5 are free.

Yep, we have agreed to make Friday night a Bon Fire welcome party and competition starts on Sat am, giving last minute travellers time to get there Friday night.

Scrutineering will close at 9pm Friday so that most are done and dusted. By arrangement (0414 462 386) we can schedule late arrivals for scrutineering first thing Saturday.

Yes we have dropped the prices by about $100 for spectators who dont want to be fed. That means a family of 5 can save $500 if they feed themselves. Have a look at www.navrun.com.au for the details. So, while other events are putting their fees up, we are trying to get our's down. What say Hobzee for Prime Minister .. gotta start somewhere...

3 more entries today.

Now past the 20 mark and gunning for 25 rigs. Sick huh!

Yeh heaps of rain, .3 mm in White Cliffs, but none at the station, as I spoke to Jeff at Cootawundi tonight.

Rain is predicted however tomorrow, so lets hope for some.
