Red Arc

Post by Sterlo »

Hey guys

Just thought i'd give you my worth.. I use a Red Arc electronic battery isolator on my 2wd mighty rodeo.. It simply works buy not switching the the aux batt into the system untill main batt voltage or alt voltage is above 12.8 v or 13v or something along those lines.

Ive never ever had trouble with it, and it cost me $90. I got it a trade discount i think.. I hope..

Anyhows good luck guys

There are quite a few systems out there on the market, I reckon it all comes down to how much yer got in the pocket to spend.

I use a Rotronics system, fully automatic.....set and forget. Had it in the Mav for 8 years now and has never failed.

Charges main battery at start-up--switches to auxillary when main is full -- then alternates between both to keep 'em full.

I use a BEP Marine VSR in my dual battery system, have had it about 3 years and had no problems at all.
