Does it run one of those silver relay/solinoid set ups? cause a good shunt to one off those will stop it switching. I don't know what a Pirahna set up looks like, but it would be my guess.

Piss of those OLD SCHOOL dual battery management systems and get an excellent all in one unit like BEP Marine Voltage Sensitive Relay.

I just got a "smart start" set up sent to me instead of what I wanted. Some of the big transport companys are switching to these.. Time will tell.

Redarc Smart Start

Post by Qld_Basher »

I've had a Redarc Smart Start solenoid on my GQ for a few years. Always 100% reliable, allows the second battery to boost the main battery if the main battery goes flat (like from a late night session listening to the radio . . . )

The dash LED also gave me a heads up that my alternator was on the way out.

I'm very pleased with it.
