You want the diffs or the entire rolling chassis?
I have a set of 404 diffs (with torque tubes) that I imported from the US - but becasue of family issues (ie missus is due) I might have to sell.....

model currently used by the australian army is the U1700L, also used by several agencies like councils, RFB etc. But good luck trying to get your hands on one, or being able to afford one as the army holds on to them till they are totalled.

What do you want it for. I know that my mum's boyfriend is selling his unimog but it is a mobile home. Fully decked out, even has a hydraulic lifting roof!

you might want to have a look at the costs of importing them as you can find pretty cheap (not that good shape) ones here in germany, i hove no idea how much it would cost to impot them and with which company..
why are you after a 404 in particular....why not the 406 or the 424

these are in germany

There was a nice 404 on ebay a few months ago for $13000, I've also seen a few in deals on wheels over the last couple of years. It took me a few years to find one.

yeh that red one on ebay was very nice. And yes the price was $13,000, sounded good to me, considering what the diffs are worth. Was in good order to set up as a tourer also.
