Can anyone help me out with info?
I have just lifted my 60 series cruiser with 100mm suspension lift, my rear tailshaft no longer fits, I have been told that I need to get wedges for the rear diff or something?
Can anyone tell me where I can buy these?

How is the tail shaft not fitting? Is it too short to reach the pinion flange on the diff or is it misaligned?
Spring wedges are designed to fit under your leafs so that they rotate the diff backwards decreasing your pinion angle but you should have enough slip in your tail shaft for a 100mm lift so that length should not be a problem.
If the problem is that the tailshaft is not long enough you might need to look into getting an extension put in. These come as bolt-on or weld-on. Any 4wd workshop will be able to steer you right here.
The other option as far as pinion angle goes, is to buy a new set of spring perches, cut the old ones off,angle the diff so as its poining at the transfer output flange, weld the new perches on in place.
IMO this is a better option than the wedges but its a fair bit more work. Horses for courses etc.

the problem now is that the tailshaft is too long due to the change in angle of the diff, so instead of chewing uni joints every 500kms, I wanna fix it properly.

had my 60 for 2 year's was running 35's, 350 chev gave it hell everywhere i went, didn't have diff wedges never chewd uni joints infact never changed uni jointsmercury6 wrote:thanks bunyip,

mate also has 60 with 4" lift no diff wedges he has never had a problem with uni's the only real problem both of the 60's was the rear diff center's pinion seal's and pinion yoke's considering how big the diff's are in size there not that strong both 60's blew open diff planitry gear's then we fitted lockers, problem fixed
