Trying to get hold of a pair of 80 series diffs.

Have a great Lt95, and would love 2WD :D

Hi Dave,

You could remove front driveshaft, lock the centre diff and take it for a drive. Then you might see why people say don't do it. Apparently they handle like pigs in 2wd.

And even worse in front wheel drive :D

Dave, go a GQ front diff and 80 rear. My 80 front is part time and I just run the hubs locked all the time. If you want 2wd, just unlock the hubs and lock the centre diff.

drove mine around in 2wd while i was puting new unis in the front shaft it was prety wild

Ive done it as well and had no issues.

Its different but not hard to get used to.

Deff goin 80s front, I dont want GQ stuff.

Full time it is :D

Hope your good with a welder, and it is a PITA trying to clear the draglink.

yep, nearly lost ours over a bank cause the back end just went crazy without the fron drive shaft in.

Did good wheelies though :lol:

yeah very light steering and real wandery over bumps and shit. was suprised where it would go off road just in 2wd tho and big skids on grevel road

Have modified part time lt95 running GU nissan diffs daily driven & 10 comps over 2 1/2 years & still going

My sals is from a series - so 4 inches to narrow and drums.

i have a part time modded lt230 with gqs and have had no dramas
makes mud drivin a tad more funner

Yea, its not to bad with a slippery in the rear, i had mine 2 wheeling for ages with a nissan transfer case and a 9" LSD in the rear but now i've gone back to LT95 and maxi's its much better and more stable on the fast stuff, give it a go if you wanna and see what you think, its only a matter of welding the centre diff, taking the front side gear out of course, mmm front side gear you know what i mean :D and see what you think

Did mods myself as a temp to sort drive shaft angles all has worked well I run P76 C4 Auto LT95 GU,s & 36/37" tyres . Broke rear output shaft at willowglen
