Parobolics
Has anyone heard anything about parabolics snapping? I have parobolics under my hilux and am just wondering if these 'stories' are true. Can anyone tell me?
This will also help a mate out as he believes that they will crack if they are put under too much work.

Whats up!!
I hope not. I invested a lot of money in them. I don't think i'll ever go hard enough to break em anyway. I wouldn't want to - they are 220$ a peice! It would take a dam lot to break em. They have worked wonders on my lux though. Lift was main factor i decided to get them and my brother said they were good.
Whats up!!
tony bent his springs
didn't snap
his bent because - no secondaries in rear with no track bar
cory you have secondaries - and you are getting a track bar
he bent a front but in yours there is absolutely no reason why you couldn't get warrenty - you still have the torque arm

Mine bent because they are pices of crap and that is it.
For a poser rig they are fine but if you plan on giving them a hard time then expect them to fail.
I am not the only person they have failed on.
I was told they did not need the over load leaf on the rear and that them bending had nothing to do with it.
In the front i was running the torque rod so that has nothing to do with it.
I bent 2 complete sets.

i know of 1 other guy who bent front springs because he jumped the rig
i didn't say the torque rod would stop them from bending there is just no reason why they would not give warrenty

parabolics
i have parabolics on my truck and i have bent the rear springs and i dont drive real hard. i have been running them without the overload and no track bar. i was also told that they would be fine without the overload in the rear.
parabolics
i also think they are a good off the shelf spring, as long as you use a track bar and dont drive real hard
I agree with your comment Nick, but after the second set i didnt get Warranty. They are marketed toward more height / flex market or "hard core" if you like. I think if its marketed to this area it should be able to handel it.
Thats why im not a real fan of Ranch. They are good shocks - dont get me wrong but the warranty isnt fantastic. If you are over 2" lift, no warranty both Brett and i have buggered sets Doddsy buggered his in the first couple of days in the out back. I think that if you want height & flex you are better off saving a few $$$ more, have a look around at what works and get a system that works first time up...its less agro long term. There are a lot of people who want "cheap" stuff...and wonder why it fails / looks ugly / not really what they want.
