Auto hub troubles
Auto hub troubles
Just recently as in the past couple of days my auto hubs on my GQ shorty have developed the habit of clicking in in a half arsed way at about 80km/h. I'll be driving along and then they just start whirring, so I pull over put it into 4wd, drive forward and bit and back into 2wd and then off again and its usually worked. If it didnt then I repeat the process.
Now before anyone says just buy some manual hubs, it was already on the agenda but this is a problem in the mean time. Is there a spring or anything in the auto hubs that would slacken over time therefore allowing the above to happen???? If so, what can I do about it?
