Replace seat on MAV

Post by hammo73 »

Hi guys, new to the site but looks good.

Has anyone come accross any issues replacing the drivers seat on a maverick/patrol??

Want to remove a sports seat and replace with a standard seat. At present the sports seat does not look to be on moving rails so will need to ensure the seat come with them, but checking to see if anyone has come accross any issues to be aware of???

Thanks guys

legality wise idf the sports seat is not mounted on the original frame or does not carries vsb no.5 tags on it or is not engineered it is ilegal. you can put a seat from the same model vehicle back into it , you can also put in a sparco or strratos seat using there pre engineered seat adaptors but you will need to get some original seat runners.

check the length of the base of the seat where your ass goes.. some of the seats we tried in my rodeo 10 yrs ago were too long in the base, and nearly hit the wheel before my ring gear was farting on them..
