They are Unimog 406 portal axles with 9.75:1 diffs, two 2.21:1 transfer cases back to back, and a 1st gear of 3.7:1 for a total crawl ratio of ...176:1.

All powered by a 1984 Toyota 3B with an aftermarket turbo, producing 135 HP.

Those wheels are huge!!

With tyres that big, no wonder its called Tippy!!!

How would this thing go offroad?
In the mud = unstoppable,
but on the rocks, with such a high centre of gravity
I reckon it would get sleepy. Not alot of arch left
for uptravel?

i'd have to agree. such a practical vehicle!!
to think all of us on here spend many months building our rigs to something special and people like this have so much time they can make a 4x4 that is useless.(well basically)
i do like the idea though and it's very unique
