1986 1.3L 5 speed rag top sierra, narrow track, all standard

Anyone have ideas on what gearbox too use with this conversion, thinking a toyota 5 speed and mate it too the transfer case, not sure of it will fit in the tunnel though?.
Also what other upgrades in the way of brakes and suspenion too handle the extra weight would you guys suggest?
First time playing with a suzuki, looks like fun though!
Sierra has standard wheels, staying that way, and mainly highway and beach use.

brakes should be fine but if you want a brake upgrade bolt on some vitara estate wagon vented rotors & calipers.
if your using a stock ge, go for a jap spec t50 (clutch slave on the drivers side). shortened jackshaft between the toy box & zuk transfer.
it should be fine , mine held up behind a ge then a gze with no dramas until it was twincharged. second gear went bang

My toy has had a Celica box (K50 probably? - it's a cable type) behind the Toyota 3AU since 1990, and haven't had any problems except for a broken clutch. They used to fit these gearboxes on old Holden conversions, so I can't see how a Suzuki driven normally will upset it. Fits straight in, but the gearstick comes through a hole between the standard gearstick hole in the floor and the transfer hole.
Has a heavyduty mount to replace the standard suzuki gearbox mount.
The extra weight will flatten (invert) the standard front springs - possibly causing clearance issues on the front driveshaft. Updated front springs will fix the height and ride.
No need to touch the brakes.
Exhaust is on the drivers side - at least it is on the 3A, and I think the 4A is the same.
Is the 4AGE out of a front wheel drive? If so engine mounts are different but straightforward, also the distributor will be an issue.
Interesting to compare the torque figures: the 3AU motor has 87ft/lbs@2400rpm but the 4AGE has 97ft/lbs@4800 ... but for beach work power is probably more important to you.
Radiator: I have a bigger unit fitted...you have to make up your own hoses. Electric fan is a good idea for multiple reasons.

Why bother? Because 1300's are shitfully slow and have no torque. The 4age will hall ass on the beach, alot more fun around town and cruizing down the blacktop.Before you change motors I hope you realise how much work you are lining up for...great conversion once it is finished, but for on road / beach work - why bother?
since it's the less powerful 88W You could run the K-50 tranny from the earliest RWD corolla gt-s I think it was an 86 since that's the tranny that came with that motor stock anyway. The K-50 is cable driven so you'll save yourself the hassle of having to convert to hydraulic and swap out the clutch pedal. If you run the 100W or 4agze the t-50 (hydraulic version of k-50) is a must. I personally would trade that 4age and upgrade to the 4agze and run the t-50. If your going to go through the hassle of mounting a motor you might as well get the best one from that same family.
i just chucked a 4age bigport with 7 ribbed ze bottom end into a ke70 corolla, it was pretty easy, i even managed to do the wiring myself. Whether or not i would put one in my sierra or not though is a different question, im yet to find a time or place in my zook where i wish i had more power. Ive never gotten stuck due to lack of power or wheel speed. But i must admit, it is annoying go from a car that can light em up in 3rd to a car that cant in 1st.
