tcase question

hey just wanting to know how hard is it to fit a 1lt case into a
96 zook, i have plenty of parts form a 1lt and 1.3 leaf zooks,

also how much dose it inprove on road speed??
not that i want the speed on the bush :twisted:

to fit the t-case use the mounts off it not your og case and you need to change the flange to the 1l and also the jackshaft.i done this to mine and run 31s and it was a fair improvement.

2"lift(susp),2"body lift,31 claws,1.6 efi,gear driven t-case,4 wheel discs,bullbar,rollbar,sparco seats,7 ipf spots,upgraded headlights,full breather system....and so on.

It won't. Infact - it should reduce your road speed by exactly 12% so you will have to rev your engine harder to get the same speeds out of the car.

However, if you are increasing your tyre size by 12% then everything will work out and you can drive you car at 12% slower to still be doing to same road speed.

You can guestimate if the gearing will be good or not with a quick calculation based on the tyre size and gearing reduction... if you are increasing your gearing by 12%, you can increase your tyre size by 12% too with little affect on engine performance etc...

So going from stock tyres (26") to your new tyres (31") will be a 19% increase... So on paper - your gearing will be too tall, but obviously when you actually measure your tyres and see that your 31" tyre is actually a 30 or something - things may sort themselves out a bit better... i.e. a 30" tyre is only a 15% increase so that may be a bit better...

Either way - It should be good fun - but i still reckon you'll want a rockhopper if you are going to hit the hard stuff.

i will be getting a rockhopper as soon as money permits!
there is one sitting in a case in my shed but it dosent belong to me!
lol, plus i only got me coily a week ago, i swaped my bro for a combo van, so far its got a 2 1/2 '' lift, body lift going in asap.
