Tyre rubbing springs

Howdy fellas, i have 97 dual cab running 35x 12.5 i did some massage work to the firewall for clearance but it doesn’t touch my leaf springs, but when we tried them on mates 94, they rub front and rear of the front tyres.
Any ideas why, and how do we fix?

Maybe he has more lock than yours? ie, your steering lock bolts have been wound in a bit, or his wound out?

im pretty sure the springs are mounted in the same spot on 94/97 and the hub etc is the same, so it can only really be the steering lock.

Measure how much steering lock he has compared to yours (measure the angle of wheel at lock)
