Pressure Sensor and Switch Signal Whats going on ? Help Me !

Post by CWBYUP »

Well i have finally found the problem with my feroza.

I did a self diangnostic on it and the error codes come that its the Pressure Sensor and the Switch Signal.

The P/S is probably hooked up wrong so thats probaly that, but what is the switch signal ? Where do i find it and how do i fix it.

Also how do i work out what hose needs to go where with the P/S ?

Does anyone have photos or could someone take a couple of there roza for me ? Its a '92 model.

Thanks in advance Cheers Nick

Make life easy - download the manual from WARFS.com - its the F300 manual but just about everything is identical anyway.

The pressure sensor simply runs to the intake manifold via a small filter which screws into the manifold - they do block up so check its ok. Remember any old Daihatsu Appluase has the HD engine and so uses the same sensor ( and filter ) - any wreck will donate a new one. ( Can source a spare if you get really stuck ....)

The switch is almost certainly the throttle position switch on the side of the throttle body. They are almost certainly the worst TPS I have ever seen and are nothing but trouble. many articles posted on this subject and i waffled on on WARFS about this subject and possible cures.

The latter Applause TPS is a much better design BUT the plugs are different, so its NOT plug and play. I have a BOSCH TPS on mine which went straight on - but it was a junk box part so model is ???

There are local links to the manuals in the FAQ post. Download both as they do cover different areas in more detail.

The WARFS site is well "unfriendly" at the best of times and requires joining to download certain files eg. the manuals.
