Hilux Body Lift

Post by Mrs Ludacris »

Please don't say use the "search" function as I did to no avail.

I'm needing to know what length bolts I need to carry out a 2" Body Lift in a Hilux.

Any insight would be fantastic.

If they are anything like a 4 Runner there will be several lengths of bolt.
So I would remove one of each down one side of the truck then buy 2 of each at 2" longer for the job.

Takes a little while but will get the correct result.

Oh and make sure you buy grade 8 bolts and nyloc nuts to suit, if you put commercial grade bolts in they will break.

for 2" body lift you will need 5" bolts because the hilux bolts are 3" but that is just the cab iam not sure how long for the tub/tray
Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set

Ring Macquarie 4x4, they supplied the bolts with my kit and should be able to tell you straight up. I didn't bother measuring them, I just put them in.

In my LN106 Dual Cab, the cab bolts were 85mm (so 135mmx8 grade 8 bolts with nyloc nuts) and the tub bolts were 45mm (so 95mmx6 grade 8 bolts with nyloc nuts).
