Who has PDA GPS????

Looking at getting a PDA for organising and wondering if it is worthwhile getting the GPS function. If you have one or have used one for this function could you give me some input please

Is the 3.7" screen adequate size to use as GPS

Any problems, likes/dislikes

What OS should i get have been looking at Windows Mobile 5.0 and not PALM

Brand you recommend to get or stay clear of

but running tom tom for on road guidance, plus oziexplorer and Garmin que for off road

screen is plenty big enough I think, plus this one comes with windscreen mount and 12v power cable, can be had for about $600 without the copilot software if you can aquire tom tom or destinator from somewhere

you can get the hp pda with bluetooth areal and all the brackets or you can get the navman pocket pc gps. I know ive seen them on special around the $600 mark and it comes with everything like brackets. And you can run Ozi Explorer and its one neat unit. I have a hp gps and wouldnt hesitate to buy it again though the navman has inbuilt areal. And you can get an external one if you wish.

Navman is a low spec unit, running an outdated OS.
Which HP do you have

I am currently using a HP HX4700, with a CF GPS (SIRF III chipset) and TomTom6. As for a mount have a look at the RAM Mounts,

You might want to get a GPS receiver that can use an external antenna.
So you can buy one from ebay with the magnetic base and put it outside the car for better signal strength.

i also have a hx4700, big screen with high resolution, it works great as a gps.

I use the globalsat bluetooth gps receiver, i am extremely impressed with it, no need for external antenae it works perfectly inside the glove box.

Oziexplorer with topoview maps is what i mostly use and find it sufficient for offroad use.
