Fire near Noojee!!!!

Post by Rhiggins »

Whats happening with the winch challenge?... there are fires 15km ENE of Noojee!!!

Take a look at the DSE report:
http://www.dse.vic.gov.au/DSE/nrenfoe.n ... CB000DB12D

Im sure that people are probably aware but i heard it on the radio this morning and just in case thought that i would post cause i can't find anything on the Vicwinch main site and also on this forum...correct me if im wrong.

Thanks,

Rhiggins

I'd say most people would be down there or on there way now. bit worrying cause that is pretty close. that challenge is a few K's south east of noojee but hopefully the comp doesn't get interrupted. going to check it out on sunday

due to the fact that they dont have it under control and its only a couple of kms away from the site...it could...but im not sure on the precise locations of the fire... there is a better map on the front page of todays Age (13th Oct).

the vic winch is south east of nojee may be 5kms? the fire is 15km north east of noojee. the fire seems to be "slow" moving, only burning 23 hectares in two days. predicted rain will also help.
