Take a line off your lux, go down to a ABS store, say 'I want a pair of lines made like this Xcm longer'

They can do it in an hour or so.

You can make your own using Australian "Speedflow" fitings and braided line but this is expensive compared to the cost effective advice already given.

National and well respected suppliers are Pirtek & Enzed. I agree with BobTail's comment, be careful because they will be wary of doing these longer due to liability concerns. Check the USA webs as many kits are available off the shelf there for many brands and setups but I am certain these will be expensive by the time they get to your place.

Try your local, low-profile brake shops first.

hit the wreckers with the original length line , & know the length you need !!!!
Check heaps of different cars !!! little fwd cars usually have long brake lines !!!!

I went to ABS and they did them that day it cost about $40 each I had them extended about 2.5" if you go longer than that you probably want to look into getting steel braided as your brakes start to get a bit spongy

Anyone know places that make the entir brake lines?
My poor old Willy's Wagon will need a full set of lines, but I'm fairly certain that there's no such thing as off the shelf for it....

I bought one years ago through a mechanic friend, It was a snap-on kit.
I only used it to repair a couple of kinked lines. Never had to try and bend and form the stuff. I can't Imagine it being too hard, prolly a bit fiddly though..

Yeah Wooders, Snap on do a really good flaring kit as well as the pipe bender to shape it all. ABS brakes can sell you all the fittings to go on the pipe. Takes a bit of practice but bundy line is pretty cheap and you'll soon get a really good result.

well i fitted the rear one and the driver side one, but i could not loosen the one on the passenger side :x

i tried ring key/open ender/ multi grip spanner but it wouldnt budge, i thought i was starting to round the nut so i had to leave it.

any suggestions, i may just take it in to ABS if i have to, they wanted $80 to fit all 3 so it shouldnt be too bad.

anyway im pissed because i am going 4wd'ing over the weekend at the nissan property  now i may be shown up by some old farts in nissans

not quite that bad,

wait for it a JACKAROO

there i this track on our club property called "oh shit", it is Farken steep and really really loose fine soil, it is hard to get a run at it becaue u have to weve between trees near the base.

i did not get up :( , i tried 1L 2L and 1H.

but a jackaroo just scrambled over the top, the extra 60kw and auto may have helped a bit  .

GQtruckster will know the hill im talking about.

Before Ruff yells at me... That was in no way meant to insult anyone at all, just backing up MYTLUX's claims of a super steep hill, for all you know MYTLUX could be spining crap, just thought 3 persons provided more proof than two.

Enough said on the topic. :?
